Anthony Rizzo Crushes 12th Home Run
3 years agoChicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's victory versus the Arizona Diamondbacks. Rizzo's home run was on the backend of back-to-back homers with Kris Bryant in the bottom of the first inning. Rizzo entered the contest on a cold streak and hopefully Sunday's performance will help him get going on the right track. Rizzo has been dealing with back issues this season and is also a trade candidate with the Cubs likely to be sellers at the deadline. Managers should have a backup plan for Rizzo with his back history, but he remains a solid option at first base when he is healthy. He is now hitting .244 with 12 home runs and 36 RBI.
