Cody Bellinger Exits Early With Left Hamstring Tightness
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder Cody Bellinger exited Friday's contest early with left hamstring tightness. Bellinger entered the game without a hit in his last 26 at-bats, but went 2-for-3 with a triple, two runs and one RBI. The injury just adds to what has been a major misfortune of a season for the outfielder. Bellinger entered the season as one of the top offensive options in the league, but he has been on the injured list twice and hasn't hit the ball when he has been healthy. Hamstrings are tricky and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him land back on the injured list. Bellinger is hitting a weak .162 with four home runs, 20 RBI and four stolen bases. If he misses time, first baseman Albert Pujols and infielder/outfielder Matt Beaty are most likely to see an uptick in playing time. Both can be avoided for now.
