Javier Baez Hits 22nd Home Run
3 years agoChicago Cubs shortstop Javier Baez went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in Friday's victory versus the Arizona Diamondbacks. Baez got the Cubs on the board early with his home run in the bottom of the first inning off of Zac Gallen. Baez is an upcoming free agent and there is a real chance that he could be dealt by the upcoming trade deadline. Regardless of the uniform he is in, Baez should continue to be a productive option for managers at the shortstop position. He is now hitting .248 with 22 home runs, 64 RBI and 13 stolen bases.
