Kyle Rudolph Placed On PUP List Thursday
3 years agoThe New York Giants placed tight end Kyle Rudolph (foot) on the Physically Unable to Perform list on Thursday after he underwent offseason foot surgery. The Giants will play it safe and let Rudolph rehab at his own pace, but he is expect to be ready for Week 1 against the Denver Broncos. The 31-year-old two-time Pro Bowler played in only 12 games in his final season with the Minnesota Vikings and had just 28 receptions for 334 yards and a touchdown. Rudolph has the size and skills to be a valuable red-zone weapon for quarterback Daniel Jones, but it's unlikely to be a role that will produce consistently for fantasy managers. Evan Engram is the more fantasy relevant tight end for the Giants, and Rudolph will likely need an injury to Engram to be worthy of picking up off the waiver wire.
