Robert Stock Placed On Injured List Wednesday
3 years agoThe New York Mets placed right-hander Robert Stock (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday with a right hamstring strain that caused him to leave his start early on Tuesday against the Cincinnati Reds. Infielder Travis Blankenhorn and right-hander Nick Tropeano were recalled from Triple-A Syracuse and right-hander Geoff Hartlieb was optioned to Syracuse in corresponding moves. Stock allowed a solo home run, walked one and struck out one in just an inning of work on Wednesday before leaving early. He's allowed eight earned runs with nine strikeouts and nine walks in nine innings over three starts with the Chicago Cubs and Mets this year. There's no fantasy upside here, even if he returns to make another spot start later in the season for the Mets.
