Tommy Edman Slugs Sixth Homer Of Year Tuesday
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals utility man Tommy Edman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a 7-6 loss to the Cubs on Tuesday night. It was home run number six of the year for Edman, who is now slashing .253/.297/.370 with 16 steals, 27 RBI and 49 runs scored over 93 games this season. It was his second home run over his last seven games, but he has been struggling outside of those homers as he's slashing .130/.200/.391 over that span. He's one of the top base stealers in the league right now, but the reality is that stolen bases is really the only category in which he can help a team right now.
