MLB DFS Prop Picks for 7/21 - PrizePicks

Kipp Heisterman presents his MLB DFS prop picks on PrizePicks for Wednesday July 21st. Use his MLB prop picks recommendations to win money on PrizePicks.

Hello everybody and welcome! The 2021 MLB season is alive and well and that means our new friends over at PrizePicks have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of. PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.

Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the best, and easiest to win, MLB DFS games in the industry. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.

PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props as well as hitter props in which you determine if the pitcher or hitter in question will go over or under their projected total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Tonight, we will look at some pitcher strikeout totals as well as some single stat totals.

Single Stat and Fantasy Score MLBP and MLB Totals

Salvador Perez over .5 Runs + RBI - Sal has been hitting pretty well since the All-Star break as he has posted an .899 OPS with a double and three RBI. He will be facing Brewers left-hander Eric Laurer, which is also good news as Perez has a 1.120 OPS with 11 home runs and 22 RBI off left-handers so far this season.

Carlos Santana over .5 Runs + RBI - We are going to stay in the same game here with Carlos Santana as he has also performed very well against left-handed pitching in 2021 as noted by his .308 AVG with three home runs and 15 RBI across just 91 at-bats. Lauer has also allowed nine bombs to right-handers this season and is allowing a 4.57 ERA to them as well.

Kike Hernandez over .5 Runs + RBI - Kike gets a matchup against Robbie Ray who has allowed a ridiculous 17 home runs to right-handed hitters this season. Hernandez has been a lefty-masher for some time now and has a combined 16 home runs against them over his previous 311 at-bats. He will almost certainly be leading off in this one, which is great news as the Red Sox have also hit left-handers well recently as noted by their 113 wRC+ over the previous 10 days.

Eric Lauer under 5.0 strikeouts - This could be tight, but the Royals have been pretty solid against left-handed pitching recently. This is evidenced by the fact that they are only striking out at a rate of 20.4% over the previous 10 days, which is ranked inside the top half of baseball. They are also posting a respectable 103 wRC+ over that same span. Lauer has also failed to go over this total in four of his previous five starts. Keep in mind that you will not be able to add Lauer to any contests in which you are playing Santana or Perez.
