Evan Engram Entering Final Year Of Rookie Deal
3 years agoNew York Giants tight end Evan Engram finished as the TE18 in 2020 despite being targeted 109 times. The 26-year-old was fourth among all tight ends in targets and had 22% of the team's target share. He hauled in 63 receptions for 654 yards and one touchdown over 16 games last season. The former first-rounder has struggled with injuries, drops and poor blocking throughout his career. Engram is entering the final year of his rookie contract, which has a $6 million salary cap hit. The Giants signed TE Kyle Rudolph and wide receiver Kenny Golladay this offseason, cutting into Engram's target share. Despite the struggles and recent offseason additions, Engram is a borderline TE1 and is worth taking a shot on after the top-10 tight ends are off the draft board.
