Victor Gonzalez Back From The Injured List
3 years agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers activated relief pitcher Victor Gonzalez (foot) from the 10-day injured list on Monday and optioned right-hander Jake Reed to Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move. Gonzalez landed on the injured list with plantar fasciitis, but he's back and ready to go for the Dodgers bullpen in the second half of the season. The 25-year-old left-hander isn't really much of an option in fantasy leagues despite his 2.57 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, 26 strikeouts and one save in 28 innings pitched, but he's a great real-life weapon and lefty specialist for the Blue. Control has been a bit of a problem for Gonzalez this year, too, with a 4.8 BB/9, and if he can't find the zone more the rest of the way, his end-of-the-year numbers won't look quite as good.
