Eric Haase Exits After Being Hit On Helmet By Pitch
3 years agoDetroit Tigers utility player Eric Haase (head) exited Saturday's game after being hit in the head by a pitch, according to Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free-Press. Haase was hit by a 95 mph fastball to start off the seventh inning, and while it seemed initially like he was going to stay in the game, he was replaced by pinch runner Victor Reyes. There's no update yet on Haase's condition, but it seems like he could be facing a stint on the concussion injured list. He's been having a solid season so far, slashing .244/.292/.538 with 13 homers, 27 RBI and 26 runs scored over 44 games. Keep an eye out for updates on his condition over the next 24 hours.
