Nick Leddy Dealt To Detroit
The New York Islanders traded defenseman Nick Leddy to the Red Wings for veteran forward Richard Panik and a 2021 second-round pick. Leddy spent the last seven years as an Islander after playing the early part of his career in Chicago. The Minnesota native has compiled 243 points in 518 career regular season games. He should be a player to keep an eye on for fantasy hockey next season as he will most likely be the Red Wings top defenseman.

Nick Leddy Joins Blues For Road Trip
4 months agoSt. Louis Blues defenseman Nick Leddy (lower body) will travel with the team for a four-game road trip and is expected to return to action soon. The Blues have their first stop in Winnipeg on Tuesday and won't be back home until Dec. 12. Leddy hasn't played since Oct. 15, making only four appearances this season. He averaged over 22 minutes of ice time early in the campaign. Ryan Suter has been skating on the first defensive pairing during Leddy's absence and may have a lighter workload once he returns to the lineup.

Nick Leddy Remains Out Versus Hurricanes
5 months agoSt. Louis Blues defenseman Nick Leddy (lower body) will miss a second consecutive contest on Saturday versus Carolina. He is also considered questionable for the next game, scheduled for Tuesday night against Winnipeg. Leddy averaged 22:09 of ice time on St. Louis' first defensive pairing before landing on the shelf. He was replaced in the role by Ryan Suter in Thursday's 1-0 overtime victory against the Islanders. Suter logged 25:10 of action but didn't do a lot next to Colton Parayko, finishing with one shot on goal, two blocks, and one hit. Pierre-Olivier Joseph has filled the open spot in the lineup and logged 10:51 on the third defensive pairing Thursday night.

Nick Leddy Troubled By A Lower-Body Injury
6 months agoSt. Louis Blues defenseman Nick Leddy was unable to practice on Wednesday due to a lower-body injury. Leddy logged close to 21 minutes of action against Minnesota on Tuesday. However, according to Blues head coach Drew Bannister, Leddy was already hurt prior to Tuesday's game. Bannister considers him day-to-day, and Leddy might be forced to sit out Thursday's matchup against the Islanders. Leddy's absence would push Ryan Suter to a top-pairing role. Suter has tallied one goal with six shots and five blocks in four games this season while averaging 16:02 of ice time. The move up the lineup will boost Suter's fantasy appeal, but the 39-year-old veteran is far from the player he used to be.
