Kolten Wong Likely To Be Activated Friday Or Saturday
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers manager Craig Counsell said that second baseman Kolten Wong (calf) would likely come off the injured list on Friday or Saturday to open the second half of the season. Wong has missed most of this month with a calf injury that has given him problems this year, but he'll return to the everyday starting job at second base and deserves to be rostered in most fantasy leagues. The 30-year-old has an excellent glove at the keystone, but he's also hitting .291/.346/.485 with seven home runs, 20 RBI and six stolen bases. Wong has modest power and speed, but he's especially attractive in leagues that count on-base percentage. Jace Peterson, who had been filling in at second base with Wong out, will return to a bench role.
