Carlos Carrasco Goes Two Innings In Rehab Start
3 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco (hamstring) went two scoreless innings in his first rehab start with High-A Brooklyn on Thursday, throwing 27 pitches (17 for strikes). Carrasco wasn't very sharp with his command, especially his curveball, but the good news is that he came out of his first competitive outing in 2021 healthy. The 34-year-old veteran right-hander is hoping to make his season and team debut in August, barring any more setbacks. He's missed half a season already, but Carrasco is worth taking a chance on in most leagues after he recorded a 2.91 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 82/27 K/BB in 68 innings over 12 starts in his final season with the Cleveland Indians in 2020.
