Justin Thomas Enters the Open Championship with Red Flags
3 years agoJustin Thomas is synonymous with elite iron play, but his approach game has been failing him of late. Thomas has lost strokes on approach in back to back starts for the first time since March of 2019, a full 47 starts ago. With that being said, he still managed top-20 finishes at the U.S. Open and Scottish Open on the back of his short game and putting. The 14-time PGA Tour winner gained 6.2 strokes around the green last week, good for the second best short game week of his entire career. Thomas is always a player to target when his irons are firing, but fantasy managers should be weary of the fact that the University of Alabama product is currently putting a lot of pressure on his short game and putting.
