3 years agoScottie Scheffler has the game to thrive at the British Open. Look at his record over the past few majors and major-like tournaments. He has the ability to stay in these championships and fight well. There is the tied-8th at the PGA, the third at The Memorial, and the tied for seventh at the US Open. In those three tournaments, Scheffler excelled at staying within himself. He did not putt lights out. He made the putts Scheffler needed to. The American reminds me of a golfer who can do most things well especially in bigger tournaments. While Scheffler does not have all-world talent in any one metric, he can contend again at the British Open because he drives well, hits accurately, and putts just well enough. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
