Matt DiBenedetto Expected Not to Stay Near Top Ten at Atlanta
3 years agoMatt DiBenedetto starts 12th on Sunday for the Quaker State 400. How long he stays around that position is the problem. DiBenedetto and the Wood Brothers Racing team have had issues keeping the car near the front on intermediate tracks. He was in the top five for a while the last time in Atlanta but fell back and had to settle for 11th. Since Kansas, the No. 21 has been stuck with a mediocre race car as far as speed and grip. The results have been troubling. DiBenedetto has the one top ten last week at Wisconsin and five finishes outside the top 20. That is a bit much to just overlook.
