Miguel Andujar Still Out Friday
3 years agoNew York Yankees third baseman Miguel Andujar (wrist) will miss his third straight game on Friday against the Houston Astros with a left wrist sprain. It's not the first time Andujar has dealt with wrist issues in 2021, so he could be a candidate to land on the injured list if it doesn't improve soon. The wrist issue might be part of the reason why he hasn't hit well, either, as he's sporting a .253/.284/.383 slash line with six home runs in 162 plate appearances this season. Gio Urshela will get another start at the hot corner and is batting seventh against Astros right-hander Jake Odorizzi on Friday. The 29-year-old has been more productive than Andujar, hitting .269/.309/.442 with 11 long balls and 37 RBI. That includes a homer and five RBI so far in six games in July.
