3 years agoThe Pittsburgh Pirates placed outfielder Gregory Polanco (hip) on the 10-day injured list with right hip inflammation and first baseman/outfielder Phillip Evans (head) on the seven-day concussion injured list on Tuesday. Shortstop Cole Tucker was recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis and third baseman Rodolfo Castro was recalled from Double-A Altoona in corresponding moves. Along with injury, Polanco just hasn't been good in 2021 and isn't a must-hold in deep mixed leagues. With Colin Moran already on the injured list, Ben Gamel, who has been swinging a hot bat of late, has come into everyday playing time in Pittsburgh and is a short-term option in deep mixed/NL-only leagues.
