Eddie Rosario Injured Again Monday
3 years agoCleveland Indians outfielder Eddie Rosario (abdomen) left the game early on Monday night against the Tampa Bay Rays after pulling up on an infield bouncer that he hit in the second inning. Rosario returned to the lineup over the weekend after missing some time with abdominal soreness, and it looks like he may have aggravated it on Monday. It's very possible that Rosario will need a stint on the injured list after this setback, so be prepared to be without him moving forward. The 29-year-old remains relevant for his power/speed combination, slashing .255/.297/.390 with seven home runs, 46 RBI and nine stolen bases in 77 games entering the contest on Monday. Oscar Mercado, who has struggled the last two years after hitting 15 homers and stealing 15 bases in his rookie season in 2019, will become an intriguing upside option in AL-only leagues if Rosario goes on the injured list.
