Brad Keller Notches Quality Start In Loss To Twins
3 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Brad Keller had his best start in a long time during Sunday's game against the Minnesota Twins. He pitched 6 1/3 innings and allowed five hits, two walks and two earned runs while striking out seven. Unfortunately, the Royals offense was dominated by Twins starter Kenta Maeda and Keller wound up with his ninth loss of the year as the Royals fell 6-2. This was Keller's first quality start since May 25. He got annihilated to the tune of an 8.31 ERA over six starts in June. We'll see if Sunday's start is the sign of a better month ahead soon. His next start will be on Friday against the Cleveland Indians.
