Heath Hembree Picks Up Second Straight Save
3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Heath Hembree tossed a scoreless ninth inning to save a 3-2 win over the Chicago Cubs on Saturday. Hembree struck out two and allowed one hit in the frame. The veteran reliever has been busy of late, having picked up a save on consecutive nights. Hembree now has a 2-3 record, 5.06 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, and 45 strikeouts over 26 2/3 innings of work. While his ERA doesn't look pretty overall, he has now posted four straight scoreless innings. Hembree possesses plenty of strikeout upside and could be the new favorite for saves in Cincy with Tejay Antone and Lucas Sims on the injured list. He needs to be added in deeper leagues going forward.
