Austin Meadows Not In The Starting Lineup On Saturday
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Austin Meadows is not in the starting lineup on Saturday against the Toronto Blue Jays. Meadows hit .238 (24-for-101) with four home runs and 17 RBI in the month of June and got off to a rough start in July on Friday by going 0-for-4 with a strikeout. It appears to be just a normal day of rest for the left-handed hitter. While the average hasn't been great, Meadows has 16 long balls and 54 RBI on the year for his fantasy managers. Ji-Man Choi is the designated hitter and is batting cleanup, while Yandy Diaz gets the start at first base and is hitting sixth against Blue Jays right-hander Ross Stripling. All three of Choi's homers this year have come against right-handers, but he's hit much better overall against southpaws. Between Choi and Diaz, the two have a combined six home runs on the season, so there's not a whole lot of power upside in DFS here.
