Julio Rodriguez Hits First Double-A Homer
3 years agoSeattle Mariners prospect Julio Rodriguez doesn't seem to be fazed by the promotion from High-A to Double-A. The 20-year-old outfielder hit his first Double-A home run on Friday during the initial game of a doubleheader that saw him go 1-for-2 with two walks and three runs driven in. He then followed that up with a 3-for-3 performance with another free pass in the second game. Rodriguez now has a triple-slash line of .429/.556/.714 through his first four games at the new level. Prior to his promotion, he produced a 172 wRC+ with six home runs, five steals, and a .325 batting average in 28 games. Rodriguez is ranked by Rotoballer as the third-best prospect in dynasty baseball behind Wander Franco and Jarred Kelenic.
