Daniel Suarez a Question Mark at Road America on Sunday
4 years agoDaniel Suarez has finished in the top 15 five straight races now. The only question is where does he qualify on Sunday. Either way, there is some DFS value for the Trackhouse Racing driver. Suarez is even getting back into contention for "The Chase". He would likely need a big result, preferably a win. The No. 99 car has performed better and the pit crew has made less glaring errors of late. That has also helped Suarez. He is less nervous behind the racing car and can focus more on driving. His speed on long runs at Pocono was in the top ten last week. Suarez could easily surprise again at Road America.

Daniel Suarez Scores Career-Best Finish At Las Vegas, But Falls Short Of Winning
2 weeks agoAfter a couple of races of failing to score a great finish, Daniel Suarez of Trackhouse Racing finished second. Starting from the 23rd position, Suarez progressively made his way through the field over the course of the race through moves on track or pit strategy. He was 14th by the end of the first stage, making him unable to score stage points, but he did place seventh at the end of the second stage, and scored a few there. Suarez made his way to the lead in the latter portions of the race by taking advantage of two tire strategies to maintain track position, gaining the lead and ultimately leading 12 laps before battling with Josh Berry. By lap 254, Suarez lost the lead for the final time thanks to his car getting loose, allowing Berry to slip by while Suarez settled for being the runner-up to this week's race. This is a new career-best finish for Suarez in the Cup Series at Las Vegas in 16 starts.

Should Fantasy Managers Roster Daniel Suarez At Las Vegas?
2 weeks agoTrackhouse Racing's Daniel Suarez will start 23rd for the Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This will be the second consecutive Las Vegas race where Suarez will start from the 23rd position. In 15 races at Vegas, Suarez has 10 top-20 finishes, including four straight top-15 results in the last four Cup events at the site. The No. 99 Chevrolet driver does not have the strongest start to the year with only one top-20 finish in the first four races of the 2025 Cup season. In practice, Suarez ranked 21st in overall lap averages while displaying top-20 speeds in all other categories. Considering his relatively inexpensive salary ($7,100 on DraftKings), recent Vegas history, and his practice speeds, Suarez is worth rostering in all formats.

Daniel Suarez Seeks To Prove Himself At Phoenix After Embarrassing Austin Crash
3 weeks agoAfter the embarrassment of crashing himself and his possible replacement, Connor Zilisch, out last week at Austin, Daniel Suárez will be eager to prove himself at Phoenix, but his 31st-place starting position is tied for the second-worst of his career here, and that came when he was driving for Gaunt Brothers Racing. However, his worst starting position came in the last race at Phoenix in last year's finale, where he started 34th and recovered to a 10th-place finish, his third straight top-15 finish and his fourth with the Next Gen car. He has never led a lap here, and he presumably won't on Sunday, but he is likely to finish better than he starts. Since he costs only $7,100 in DFS and is likely to score place-differential points, he's definitely an interesting low-cost option, especially because he really made the option tire work for him last year at Richmond.

Is Daniel Suarez Worth Rostering For DFS Lineups At COTA?
4 weeks agoTrackhouse Racing's Daniel Suarez will start fifth for Sunday's Echopark Texas Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas. This will be the third time that Suarez will start inside the top five at the Texas road course, matching his start position with the 2023 Cup event at the site. In four previous races at COTA, Suarez's best finish is 24th, and despite leading 16 total laps, he has never obtained positive place differential at the site. At road courses except Chicago since 2022, Suarez has one win and six top-20 finishes. In final practice, Suarez displayed top-10 speeds in all eligible categories on speed. With fast practice speeds compared to the field and great equipment, Suarez is expected to carry a favorable result. However, due to his lackluster history of underwhelming COTA finishes, Suarez is best suited as a tournament play for DFS lineups this week.
