William Byron a Little Riskier Than Usual at Road America
3 years agoWilliam Byron could easily finish in the top ten on Sunday. However, the Hendrick Motorsports Racing driver has had some odd luck at road courses the past two times out. He was near the front when he crashed at Sonoma. Then there was the 11th at Austin where his pit window and the rain did not help matters. The No. 24 had a 12th-place result on Sunday at Pocono. However, in the two Pocono races, Byron led a combined 25 laps. Weather should not be an issue on Sunday so Byron does not have to worry about that. He projects to at least finish in the top ten. After all, his average finish in 2021 is 9.9.
