Brett Anderson Could Rejoin Rotation Soon
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers manager Craig Counsell said that left-hander Brett Anderson (knee) will be reinserted into the starting rotation if a planned aggressive bullpen session goes well on Thursday. If Anderson comes out of Thursday with a successful bullpen session, he could be lined up to make his return on Tuesday against the New York Mets. The veteran southpaw has been out since June 22 with a right knee contusion and will be an extremely shaky fantasy streamer in his first start back after posting a 4.69 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 31/15 K/BB in 12 starts covering 48 innings this year. Anderson's career 6.1 K/9 just goes to show that he has very little upside in the strikeout department.
