Jazz Chisholm Out Of The Starting Lineup On Thursday
3 years agoMiami Marlins second baseman Jazz Chisholm is out of the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies. Left-hander Matt Moore will be taking the mound for the Phillies after right-hander Zach Eflin was scratched due to an illness. Jon Berti is leading off and playing second base in the game. The left-handed Chisholm has slashed .246/.300/.415 over 65 at-bats against lefties this year, which isn't much worse than his .260/.329/.460 slash line against righties. The day-off might be more of just a routine day-off rather than a matchup move. Chisholm was the team's leadoff hitter the last time they faced a lefty when Patrick Corbin was on the mound on Saturday.
