Daulton Varsho Continues To Struggle At The Plate
3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks catcher Daulton Varsho continued his struggles at the plate on Wednesday, going 0-for-3 with a walk and one RBI in a 7-4 loss to the Cardinals. If you thought it was hard to do worse than a .145/.243/.194 triple-slash line over 26 games this season, in the last seven games alone he is slashing .095/.269/.095 with one steal, one RBI, two runs scored and seven strikeouts in 21 at-bats. Varsho has shown some nice potential in the minors, but none of that has translated to the major leagues yet. Until he shows a significant turnaround at the plate, managers can ignore him in all formats.
