Damien Harris The No. 1 In New England?
3 years agoESPN Boston's Mike Reiss said on Sirius XM NFL Radio that he views New England Patriots running back Damien Harris as the team's "decisive" No. 1 back heading into the 2021 season. Harris and Sony Michel are expected to be some sort of one-two combination in New England's backfield, but Michel has really disappointed so far in his career, and Harris had a 5.0 yard-per-carry average on 137 carries in 10 starts last season. Fantasy managers should be concerned that Harris has played in only 12 games in his two seasons in the NFL due to injuries. There's also the stigma of being in New England's offense and the fact that quarterback Cam Newton (if he wins the QB job) steals a ton of goal-line touchdowns. There's upside if Harris ends up dominating this backfield, but drafting him as an RB3 for depth is the smartest strategy.
