Paul Goldschmidt Goes Hitless On Tuesday Night
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals first baseman Paul Goldschmidt went 0-for-3 with a walk in a 3-2 win over the Diamondbacks on Tuesday night. Goldschmidt has been in a slump at the plate recently, as he's slashing .160/.276/.280 with one home run, two RBI and two runs scored over his last seven games. This year has been the worst season of his career, as Goldschmidt now has a .247/.315/.405 triple-slash line with 11 homers, five steals, 41 RBI and 40 runs scored over 78 games. That being said, Goldschmidt could be a good buy-low candidate, as his .277 xBA and .530 xSLG suggest that he has been unlucky at the plate so far this season.
