Tyler Naquin Remains Out Tuesday
3 years agoCincinnati Reds outfielder Tyler Naquin (wrist) remains out of the starting lineup on Tuesday against the San Diego Padres. Naquin was scratched on Monday with right wrist soreness, but the injury isn't too serious, as he's available to pinch hit. The left-handed hitter has been good this year for the Reds with 12 home runs, 46 RBI and four steals, but he's hitting .206/.270/.324 with a homer and five RBI in the last two weeks, so maybe this time off will rejuvenate him. Shogo Akiyama will replace him again in center field and will hit eighth against Padres spot-starter Craig Stammen. Akiyama went hitless in four plate appearances in his start on Monday and is hitting just .214/.276/.257 with no home runs and only five RBI in 76 plate appearances, so he's not a recommended DFS option.
