Tyler Anderson Allows Two Runs In Loss Monday
3 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Tyler Anderson allowed two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out three over five innings of work in a 2-0 loss to the Rockies on Monday night. Despite earning the loss, it was another decent outing for Anderson after he allowed three runs in 6 2/3 innings of work against the White Sox his last time out. With the exception of two bad starts in which he surrendered six or more runs, Anderson has been pretty solid on the mound by allowing four or fewer earned runs in 13 of his 15 starts. He's not going to provide much in the way of strikeouts, but he can be a solid streaming option when he gets a favorable matchup. His next start against Milwaukee will likely be one that managers will want to avoid though.
