Demaryius Thomas Hangs Up His Cleats
3 years agoFormer Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas, the second leading receiver in franchise history, announced his retirement from the NFL on Monday. The former first-round pick and first wideout taken in the 2010 draft emerged as the team's No. 1 receiver when quarterback Peyton Manning arrived in Denver. Thomas earned five straight Pro Bowl selections and was the centerpiece of one of the most prolific offenses in NFL history. He helped the Broncos reach two Super Bowl, winning one of them. The 33-year-old pass-catcher finishes with 724 career receptions for 9,763 yards and 63 touchdowns and ranks 53rd all time in receiving yards. Thomas will eventually become a member of the Broncos Ring of Fame.
