White Sox Making Progress In Eduardo Escobar Talks
3 years agoThere has been some progress made in trade talks that would involve Arizona Diamondbacks infielder Eduardo Escobar going to the Chicago White Sox. Escobar was not in the starting lineup on Sunday against the San Diego Padres, with speculation that a trade was imminent. It didn't happen on Sunday, but it appears the White Sox are getting closer to landing the veteran infielder, who would most likely be taking over at the keystone full time after the season-ending injury to Nick Madrigal (hamstring). Escobar is hitting .253/.298/.481 with 17 home runs, 39 runs scored, 52 RBI and a stolen base in 289 at-bats for the last-place Diamondbacks this year. While he doesn't offer a ton for fantasy managers besides his power, his fantasy stock would surely be on the rise with a trade to a contending team such as Chicago. Stay tuned.
