Freddie Freeman Raising His Batting Average In June
4 years agoAtlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman hasn't been getting on base as much as we're used to seeing so far this year. By the end of May, he was hitting just .235 on the year. However, he's currently in the midst of his best month of the year so far from a batting average perspective as he's hitting .287 through June, increasing his season-long batting average to .254. His season-long .302 xBA certainly suggests that the average should keep increasing as the year goes on. Meanwhile, he's been supplying solid power all year with 17 home runs. He also ranks in the 96th percentile in xwOBA (.411) and in the 95th percentile in xSLG (.585).
