Nelson Cruz Belts Three-Run Homer
3 years agoMinnesota Twins designated hitter Nelson Cruz clubbed a three-run homer in Sunday's 8-2 win over the Cleveland Indians. Cruz absolutely clobbered the ball on his three-run blast, sending it 424 feet at 110.4 MPH. That's nothing new for the veteran slugger, who has been punishing baseballs for much of his career- and is actually posting the best hard-hit rate he's ever produced this season. Cruz has the counting statistics to match, slashing .299/.371/.564 with 17 homers and 42 RBI. He has been one of the best hitters in all of baseball over the past month and will have a great chance to sustain that success in upcoming series against the Chicago White Sox and Kansas City Royals, two teams that have struggled to slow him down over the years.
