Max Muncy Gets Sunday Night Off Versus Cubs
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers infielder Max Muncy is not in the lineup for Sunday's finale against the Chicago Cubs. Manager Dave Roberts confirmed that Muncy's absence is a scheduled day off, and he will return to the lineup Monday when the Dodgers host the San Francisco Giants. Muncy has rebounded nicely from a poor 2020 season with 15 home runs, 36 RBI and a .262 batting average and currently leads the National League in on-base percentage at a .415 clip in 65 games. Matt Beaty will instead start at first base and bat fourth in place of the 2019 All-Star. Beaty owns a .268 batting average against right-handers this season and is a solid low-cost option for DFS players when he faces Adbert Alzolay.
