Victor Robles Leaves Game Early Sunday
4 years agoWashington Nationals outfielder Victor Robles (knee) left the game early on Sunday after he was hit in the back of the knee by a pitch from Miami Marlins pitcher Ross Detwiler. Outfielder Gerardo Parra replaced Robles in the game. Before leaving, the 24-year-old had gone hitless in three plate appearances with a walk, strikeout and a caught stealing. Robles came into the game on Sunday slashing just .191/.329/.279 with no homers, three RBI and three stolen bases in 83 plate appearances. He's been getting on base at a decent clip (.340) this year, but his lack of counting stats (zero home runs, 21 runs scored and eight RBI) while hitting at the bottom of the batting order don't make him a must-own in deep mixed leagues, especially if he misses any additional time with his knee injury.
