Zack Short Remaining On Active Roster
3 years agoDetroit Tigers shortstop Zack Short was called up from Triple-A to serve as the team's 27th man for their doubleheader against the Houston Astros on Saturday. After the game, the team announced that Short would remain on the active roster while fellow infielder Isaac Paredes was optioned to Triple-A. Short started both games of the doubleheader. In Game 1, he went 2-for-2 with a double and a home run. Short should see a decent amount of playing time to help fill in for Niko Goodrum (finger). This is Short's third trip to the majors already this year. The first two were brief. Over seven games in the majors this year, he's slashing .313/.476/.563 while his Triple-A slash line this year over 28 games is .221/.395/.453.
