William Byron's Consistency Means Another Top Five Likely at Pocono
3 years agoWilliam Byron was right in it until the end again on Saturday and figures to be on Sunday as well. The Hendrick Motorsports Racing driver finished third -- almost 1.4 seconds behind Alex Bowman. Byron finished stage 1 in second place and fourth after stage 2. He just finds ways to stay near the front. There is that gentle reminder that there is the inverted starting position. Byron begins Sunday race in 18th with the younger Busch 19th and Alex Bowman in 20th. The "contenders" should be able to charge up the field with their clear edge in speed -- especially Byron.
