Morgan Moses Signs One-Year Deal With Jets
4 years agoFormer Washington Football Team offensive tackle Morgan Moses is signing a one-year deal worth $3.6 million in base salary with the New York Jets on Friday, according to a source. Moses has never made a Pro Bowl, but he's coming off arguably the best season of his career and should be an upgrade over the Jets current right tackle George Fant. The 30-year-old has been heavily penalized in his career, but last year was an exception. It will be interesting to see how Moses transitions from Washington's inside-zone run scheme to Gang Green's scheme that is expected to include a lot of outside stretch-zone runs. They'll also need Moses to be solid in pass-protection in front of rookie quarterback Zach Wilson. There's also the possibility that Moses could move inside to guard, but it's more unlikely.
