3 years agoMinnesota Twins catcher Ryan Jeffers is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Cleveland Indians. Jeffers has undoubtedly been the team's starting backstop since Mitch Garver (groin) was sidelined, starting 14 games to Benjamin Rortvedt's four. Jeffers has been quite effective thanks to a mechanical change in the minors, posting a .905 OPS with five homers and 13 RBI in June. Rortvedt will bat eighth against Indians righty J.C. Mejia. He has compiled a minuscule .393 OPS and can be safely avoided in any fantasy format.--Tim Capurso
