Daniel Vogelbach Suffers Significant Hamstring Strain
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers first baseman Daniel Vogelbach (hamstring) suffered a hamstring injury in the sixth inning of Tuesday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. It occurred while he was running the bases and rounding third base. He was promptly removed from the game and replaced by Daniel Robertson. After the game, Brewers manager Craig Counsell said that Vogelbach was "in quite a bit of pain" and that he had suffered a significant hamstring strain. Vogelbach is scheduled for an MRI on Wednesday. He is going to be placed on the injured list and it sounds as if he's going to be out for an extended period. Jace Peterson and Daniel Robertson are likely to split first base duties for now.
