Ross Stripling Stifles Marlins Over Six Innings
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Ross Stripling was excellent versus the Marlins on Tuesday, allowing one earned run over six innings in the club's 2-1 win. He had to settle for a no-decision in this one, but everything else about his outing was tip top including his seven punchouts to one walk and two hits allowed. The right-hander has been a different pitcher than what we saw earlier in the year since he holds a 2.29 ERA and 0.85 WHIP with 36 strikeouts over his last six games. Stripling should be scooped up wherever available for his next start versus the Orioles this weekend.
