Updating a previous report, New York Mets starting pitcher Marcus Stroman (hip) exited his start on Tuesday night due to left hip soreness, according to Anthony DiComo of MLB.com. Stroman allowed two walks in one inning of work and was facing Austin Riley in the top of the second when he left the game with trainers. The Mets just can't seem to catch a break this year when it comes to injuries, as Stroman is their third pitcher this week to be injured. Robert Gsellman landed on the injured list with a torn lat and Joey Lucchesi (elbow) will undergo Tommy John surgery. Fantasy managers should consider Stroman day-to-day for now. Check for updates after the game, but be prepared for Stroman to potentially make a trip to the IL in the near future.--Michael

New York Yankees right-hander Marcus Stroman (knee) threw off a bullpen mound last Friday and on Monday, and his next step is to face live hitters in batting practice "later in the week, and then we'll see where we are," manager Aaron Boone said. Stroman has received multiple injections to alleviate discomfort in his inflamed left knee. The Yankees placed the 34-year-old veteran on the 15-day injured list in mid-April with left-knee inflammation. Stroman will most likely require at least a short minor-league rehab assignment before coming off the IL, but when he's ready, there's a good chance he'll head to the bullpen in the Bronx. In his three starts before getting hurt, Stroman was roughed up to the tune of 12 earned runs on 12 hits (two homers) while walking seven and striking out seven against the Brewers, Pirates and Giants.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

New York Yankees right-handed pitcher Marcus Stroman (knee) is still dealing with discomfort in his left knee. The 33-year-old has been sidelined with left knee inflammation for the past two weeks and has been on the 15-day injured list. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status, but since he continues to face limitations, his return window will likely be pushed back. Through his three starts of the season (nine 1/3 innings), the right-hander has held a high 11.57 ERA with a 2.04 WHIP. During this stint, he has struck out seven batters but has also served up seven free passes. Last season, Stroman struggled as well, as he posted a 4.31 ERA with a 1.47 WHIP. While Stroman remains sidelined, fantasy managers should expect Will Warren and Carlos Carrasco to remain in the rotation.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

New York Yankees starting pitcher Marcus Stroman (knee) received a cortisone shot in his swollen knee. Manager Aaron Boone noted that he hopes Stroman's timeline is not "too long." The Yankees placed Stroman on the 15-day injured list on Saturday following his outing on Friday evening. On Friday, Stroman allowed four hits, three walks, and five earned runs across just 2/3 innings of work against the Giants. After the contest, Stroman said that his knee was bothering him during this outing. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status but should expect him to miss at least the next two weeks of action. When he does return, Stroman may not be guaranteed a spot in the rotation as he has allowed four or more runs in two of his three starts this season. As a result, he is not worth stashing in any standard format.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

The New York Yankees placed right-handed pitcher Marcus Stroman (knee) on the 15-day injured list due to right knee inflammation. In a corresponding move, the Yankees promoted right-handed pitcher Allan Winans to the MLB roster. Stroman struggled in his start on Friday evening against the Giants and noted that his knee was bothering him during this outing. He was only able to tally two outs and allowed four hits and five earned runs. He allowed a home run to outfielder Jung Hoo Lee and served up three free passes. During his first two starts of the season, Stroman logged eight 2/3 innings and allowed seven earned runs and posted a 4:6 BB:K. With Stroman hitting the injured list, fantasy managers should expect Clarke Schmidt (shoulder) to take his spot in the rotation when he is cleared to return next week.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
