Harris English A Viable Option At TPC River Highlands
4 years agoHarris English is firmly trending in the right direction. The University of Georgia product has made five consecutive cuts, including a 13th-place finish at the Byron Nelson, a 14th-place finish at the Palmetto Championship and a third-place finish last week at the U.S. Open. English recorded his best approach week since the 2019 Sanderson Farms Championship at the U.S. Open. With that being said, he also gained 8.4 strokes putting and around the green. While fantasy managers should not bank on English repeating that type of short-game performance again, he has actually been better than most coming off a spike putting week. English tends to percolate; Prior to his win this January at the Sentry Tournament of Champions, he recorded a sixth-place finish at the RSM and a fifth-place finish at the OHL. The three-time PGA Tour winner is indubitably primed for another high finish, and he should not be overlooked this week at TPC River Highlands.

Harris English Sputters At Arnold Palmer Invitational
3 weeks agoHarris English missed the cut at last week's Arnold Palmer Invitational and is now focusing on preparing for this week's The PLAYERS Championship held at TPC Sawgrass. In 2025, English has one win and one top-25 finish. His performance at The PLAYERS Championship has been mixed; he finished T19 in 2024 but missed the cut in 2023. Notably, over 32% of approach shots at last year's event came from 100-150 yards. Over the past 12 months, English ranks in the fifth percentile for greens in regulation percentage on approach shots from this distance in the fairway. Including English in DFS lineups this week carries some risk.

Harris English Finishes T24 At Genesis Invitational
4 weeks agoHarris English finished tied for 24th at last month's Genesis Invitational and is now focusing on preparing for this week's Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill Club. He won the Farmers Insurance Open in January and has had a strong start to 2025. English has performed well at this tournament in the past, finishing tied for 21st in 2024 and tied for second in 2023. Over the past 12 months, English ranks in the 75th percentile for greens in regulation on approach shots from 150-200 yards in the fairway. This is particularly important because over 35% of approach shots at last year's Arnold Palmer Invitational came from this distance. While Harris has had success at this event in previous years, he has also shown inconsistency at times in 2025. Therefore, including him in DFS lineups this week carries some risk.

Harris English Looking To Repeat At Torrey Pines
2 months agoHarris English won the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines just a few weeks ago and returns to the same venue this week to compete in the Genesis Invitational. The 35-year-old had the third-best putting performance of his PGA career, gaining over six strokes with the flat stick. Despite the win, English currently ranks 139th on approach, 99th around the green, and 135th off the tee to start the year. He also ranks in the 56th percentile in proximity from 150-200 yards, a range that accounts for 39.6% of all approach shots at Torrey Pines. However, he ranks 17th in strokes gained in putting, and fantasy managers will need to rely on English having another career day on the greens to be in contention. This makes his $7,600 price tag on DraftKings difficult to get excited about, even though he already won here this season.

Harris English Riding High Ahead Of Pebble Beach
2 months agoHarris English led from wire-to-wire en route to his fifth PGA Tour victory at the Farmers Insurance Open last week. The 35-year-old Tour veteran did so in dominant fashion, impressively gaining strokes on approach, around-the-green, and putting in all three measured rounds. He could be in line for another elite finish at Pebble Beach this week, as he ranks 27th on approach from 100-125 yards, 17th around-the-green, fourth in scrambling, 22nd in Poa putting, and eighth in bogey avoidance over the last 36 rounds. In what is largely considered to be a wedges and putting contest, with the required skill set to get up-and-down on the smallest greens on Tour, fantasy managers should strongly consider exposure to English once again this week.
