3 years agoAlmost getting his opponent in the position he wanted, veteran Aleksei Oleinik (59-16-1) went the full three rounds on Saturday with Sergey Spivac but came out on the losing end of a unanimous-decision verdict. Needing the bout to go to the mat, Oleinik only attempted two takedowns on the night and only landed one. In the striking department, Oleinik landed 59 significant strikes (98 total strikes.) With more submission wins than many fighters have in their whole career, Oleinik is always a threat to secure a finish.
