Detroit Tigers left-hander Tarik Skubal posted his second consecutive quality start on Wednesday in a win against the Royals. The 24-year-old racked up seven strikeouts and limited Kansas City to only three earned runs despite allowing eight baserunners (six hits, two walks) over six innings. The former top prospect has now given up three earned runs or less in six straight starts, which puts Skubal firmly into the SP5 conversation for the rest of the season.--Patrick Doris

Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Tarik Skubal was excellent on the mound during Friday's outing against the Texas Rangers. The southpaw retired the first 15 batters he faced before giving up a single in the sixth inning. The Rangers would evenutally push across a run, but it was still an incredible performance by Skubal. The reigning CY Young award winner tossed seven innings, allowing one earned run on two hits, while striking out 12 batters. The left-hander has now struck out 11 batters or more in two of his last three starts. He'll take a 2.08 ERA, 0.88 WHIP, and 60/5 K/BB ratio into his next start against the Boston Red Sox. Yes, that is correct, Skubal has only five walks on the season and hasn't walked in a batter in three straight starts. He obviously needs to be rostered and started in all fantasy formats.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

MLive's Evan Woodbery reports that Detroit Tigers left-hander Tarik Skubal's next start has been pushed back to Friday's series opener against the Texas Rangers after the team's game on Tuesday at Coors Field against the Colorado Rockies was postponed due to inclement weather. Rookie right-hander Jackson Jobe will now pitch on Wednesday, with Casey Mize pitching in Game 1 of a doubleheader against the Rockies on Thursday. Skubal will end up avoiding hitter-friendly Coors Field, but he'll actually get the tougher matchup in the Rangers this weekend. However, last year's American League Cy Young winner will still be a must-start in fantasy against a Texas offense that ranks 27th in the big leagues with a .643 OPS. The 28-year-old left-hander has been strong again in his seven starts in 2025, going 3-2 with a 2.21 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 48 strikeouts in 40 2/3 innings pitched.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Tarik Skubal put together an excellent performance against the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday. The left-hander tossed six scoreless innings, allowing four hits, and striking out 11 batters in the win. Skubal didn't have many problems during this outing as he only allowed singles and didn't walk anyone. Skubal gave up seven earned runs during his first two starts of the season, but since then he's only allowed one earned run in four starts. The reigning AL CY Young winner is one of the best pitchers in baseball and appears to be at the top of his game right now. He figures to keep the good times rolling against the Los Angeles Angels in his next start.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Tarik Skubal delivered a stellar performance on Monday, tossing seven shutout innings in a 9-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers. Skubal allowed just four hits, issued no walks, and struck out nine in this one. He didn't allow his first hit until the fifth inning, and the Brewers really didn't stand a chance all night. The reigning Cy Young winner now has a 2.66 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, and 25 strikeouts in 23 ⅔ IP as he continues to be one of the games best pitchers. He is arguably the most valuable pitcher in fantasy.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller
