Kellen Mond Signs Rookie Deal With Vikings
Kellen Mond to his four-year rookie deal on Tuesday. The four-year deal is worth $5.2 million. Mond was taken with the 66th overall pick of this year's draft and is expected to back up starter Kirk Cousins in 2021. The dual-threat signal-caller will strictly be a dynasty/keeper league asset in his rookie season, as the Vikings plan is to have him sit and learn behind Cousins for a year or two. Mond will only see action in his rookie season if Cousins is forced to miss time due to injury, and even then, he would be more of a low-end QB2. The 21-year-old from Texas A&M has good arm strength, mobility and accuracy and will put pressure on the incumbent in the near future if he develops quickly.

Kellen Mond Signs With Saints
Kellen Mond, according to Ari Meirov of the 33rd Team. The former Texas A&M Aggie was a third-round pick by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2021 NFL Draft after a strong college career, but he has not found his footing in the NFL. He has spent time with the Vikings, Browns, and Colts, but his last game action was in 2021. He completed just two passes for five yards. New Orleans has quarterbacks Jake Haener and Nathan Peterman on the roster, so it would be a surprise if Mond makes the team for the regular season.

Kellen Mond Lands On Indianapolis Practice Squad
Kellen Mond to their practice squad on Tuesday. Mond was cut by the Cleveland Browns during training camp and will now add some depth for the Colts after they lost quarterback Anthony Richardson to a shoulder injury in Week 5. Once he's up to speed in the Indy offense, Mond could be in line to operate as the Colts' No. 2 quarterback behind Gardner Minshew while Richardson is sidelined.

Browns Cut Kellen Mond Tuesday
Kellen Mond on roster cutdown day on Tuesday. The Browns will go with starter Deshaun Watson and rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson as his backup to begin the 2023 regular season. The Browns pulled Mond off waivers earlier this week when they traded Joshua Dobbs to the Arizona Cardinals, but he'll go back on waivers again. If the 24-year-old clears waivers, he'll most likely return to the Browns' practice squad. A third-round selection by the Minnesota Vikings in 2021 out of Texas A&M, Mond has attempted just three passes in one game in the NFL to this point back in his rookie season.

Kellen Mond Pulled Back From Waivers
Kellen Mond was reportedly waived by the organization on Thursday. However, the team decided to pull back on the waivers after trading quarterback Joshua Dobbs to the Arizona Cardinals. The departure of Dobbs left only Deshaun Watson and rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson as the options at quarterback. That being said, the Browns decided they want to see more of Mond. It's uncertain if the Browns plan to carry three quarterbacks, so Mond will likely end up on the practice squad. He's a former third-round pick of the Minnesota Vikings from the 2021 draft. Mond only played in one game and appears destined to be the third string in Cleveland.
