3 years agoIf Matt Fitzpatrick had started a little better last week, he may just have won the Palmetto Championship. As it was, his 69-66 got him to a tie for tenth. Some will argue it was a bit of a backdoor finish but his putting was excellent. Since The Genesis in February, Fitzpatrick has been fairly consistent aside from missing the cut at The Memorial and Byron Nelson. He cannot drive the ball far but his driving accuracy ranks 14th and that could help him this week. The length of Torrey Pines South may be tough for Fitzpatrick but he is resourceful.
